Review: Hair Brushes

I wanted to come and tell you ladies about a few brushes that have made styling and maintaining my hair a breeze.

Hana K. Diamond Wood Oval Cushion Hair Brush $9.98

I love this brush. I use this brush daily to smooth down my edges. What I love most about this brush is that it is not harsh on the hair. It is actually very stimulating to the scalp. This brush is very unique because it has a mixture of natural and nylon bristles.

Brushlab Ceramic Flow Thermal Round Barrel Hair Brush $12.98

This brush is great reducing frizz.. I use this brush every 2 weeks, when I do my at home blow outs. It works great.

Brushlab Pretty Pink Dual Mirror Brush Combo Hair Brush

Everyone knows that I love pink, so this brush fit me perfectly. This brush is very dear to me because it is my weave/wig brush. It detangles wig/weave hair perfectly. This is a must have brush.

Brushlab Fresh Style Hair Brush

This brush is another one that I use daily. I use this brush to comb through the length of my hair. It does not pull or tug out my hair and it detangles like a dream.

(About 2months ago) (Now)

Hey Bella's... So I permed my hair about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I am posting a length check. I am brastrap wet now. Woohoo. Joking, I really wish I could get thick hair but my hair has been fine all my life or as far back as I can remember. I really have been holding off on putting tracks in my hair for fullness but I have no choice, I want to go to Cali with swanging hair. LOL. So on to the pics. The angle is different for the new pic but my hair is now at my second tattoo on my back. Whereas, my old pic my hair is pass 3/4th of the ankh on my back.

Update for contest winners: I have not forgotten you guys. Everyone's items are nicely seperated and ready for shipping, but due to finals and crazy hours at work I don't have time to go to the post office. I will send out packages after Christmas. This will ensure that my work schedule will go back to normal and I will have money in my pockets again.. LOL. Please forgive me.

Hair Update!!

Okay so this is the time of year that I start shedding like a dog, hairwise that is.. About 2 relaxers ago, so about 6-7 months I went to a dominician salon and I asked for a mild perm but I think I was given super and that has worsen my problem. As a result of this I was left with limp arse hair in the front, so I had to grow it out. So yesterday, I cut the front of my hair into a blunt bang from ear to ear and I hate it but it is a necessary evil. Nonetheless, my hair is even thinner now but it is growing. My last resort at this point is to add some tracks, maybe two in the back for fullness. From July(pic on the top) until currently(pic on bottom) my hair has grown nicely, so I was APL when stretched and now I am BSL when stretched(I know this because my hair reaches the end of my ankh tattoo). I just need some damn thickness.. What do u think?

Starting Point (APL=Arm Pit Length)

Thanks to a fellow blogger I have finally soldified my decision of adding a hair component to my blog.. I have been through the high and lows of caring for my hair. With this hair series, I plan to bring to you the products that have helped my hair along the way. At this point of my journey, my concern is keeping my hair healthy and increasing thickness. When I say my hair is so fine, it is so fine. However within six months, I hope that will not be my story. So Bella's, I hope you enjoy this journey with me. P.S. I have a good knowledge of hair. I also had every style u can think of. I have been natural, I did dreads, braids, weaves (still do), wigs, and for many years I have worn my hair about an inch long. So if you have questions, I have answers... So let's get it ladies

HAIR RAMBLE

Okay, so I have decided to go natural yet again. However there is a slight twist. I am going to start loc'ing my hair early. So April once it starts warming up, I am chopping off my hair. My poor hubby. He loves long hair but I hate long fine hair, so at least with natural hair I have the illusion of thick hair. I am excited... Well thank you ladies for all your comments. Special shoutout to Yummy 411, Shawnta, and Clumps of Mascara for being my inspiration.

Off Topic Post - Hair

I need some advice ladies.. Okay, so my hair is about 5-6 inches past my shoulders. It is a nice length. However my hair is naturally fine. Whenever I get a doobie my hair is just straight; curls drop and everything. I am wondering should I just cut my hair off and go back natural again. This last sentence pisses me off about myself because I just permed my hair about eight months ago. This perm stuff is for the birds. First, I was worried about how I would be perceived by employers. Now I am at a point in my life, where I don't care, I want to be free. I am tired of being a creamy crack addict (relaxer). Anyone want to offer some advice. P.S. Another thing, I think the images that I see on a daily is not natural at all. Meaning videos, do u ever see a girl with natural hair and I am not talking about Outkast and neo soul videos. I don't know I guess I am just frustrated. I just came from the salon..
