Celebrity Looks: Kim Kardashian Smokey Eye

Here is a breakdown of one of Kim Kardashian Sexy Smokey Eyes.
Balance those brows
Use brow pencil to fill in eyebrows as needed. Apply it with tiny hair-like strokes, and after, blend lightly using a brow brush
Even-out the lid
Sweep a shimmery, nude powder eyeshadow from lashline to browbone with an eyeshadow brush. Kardashian's wearing NYX Single Eyeshadow in Ultimatum, $5.50.
Highlight
Dust Giella B-dazzle loose mineral eyeshadow, $27, a shimmery nude-beige, on the inner corners of your eyes. "It opens and separates the eyes," Dedivanovic says.
Add depth at the crease
Using an eyeshadow brush, sweep black, pearlized eyeshadow along the entire crease of each upper lid. Then, blend the edges to soften them, using another, clean brush. "Think of this as adding the 'smoke,'" Dedivanovic says. He uses MAC Cinderfella Mineralize Eyeshadow, $36, on Kardashian, a limited edition shade. Can't find it at your MAC counter? A close substitution: MAC's Black Tied.
Next, apply more of the same shadow to the outer corners of the upper lids, as well as to the crease (again) and blend out and up.
Now line the lower lids with the same black shadow. Concentrate color at the outer corners a la Kardashian's photo. "Use a liner brush for precision," Dedivanovic says.
Line away
Line the upper lids with a dark black pencil. Start with a thin line that gradually thickens toward the outer corners. Smudge it into the lashes as well for more intensity.
With the same pencil, line the inside rims of your upper and lower lids, all the way around, inner corners included.
Time for fake lashes
Apply a few individual fake lashes to the upper, outer lids. Use a pair of pointy tweezers and pick each lash up by the tip, then dip the nub into lash glue, and apply the nub right at the lash root. Allow glue to dry. Try MAC 32 lash, $13, and MAC Adhesive, $8.
Mascara all around
Apply two coats of black mascara to the upper and lower lashes. "This adds intensity and it helps seal the fake lashes to the real ones, so they blend in naturally," says Dedivanovic, who uses Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black, $24.50 on Kardashian.
Orgasm time
Brush a natural pink-ish blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Kardashian's wearing Nars Orgasm Blush, $25, Dedivanovic says.
Define with bronzer
Dust a sheer, matte-texture bronzer on your temples, cheeks and chin. Also brush the bronzer on to contour the hollows of your cheeks. (Remember, you're not tanning your face here. You're just adding a faint sunny-glow to these key spots. Doing so frames the face, and it'll look more defined, especially in photos.)
Low-key lips
Finish with some pretty, shimmery pink gloss (shown here, Smashbox Heartbreaker Roller Gloss in Pink Sugar, $21) and you're all set. Now don't just go to your event, own it, Kardashian-style.

Foundation Week: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

NARS says:
A glowing, satin-finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage. Replete with skincare benefits and the NARS Complexion Brightening Formula, skin is hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother. Used daily, Sheer Glow Foundation improves skin brightness, radiance and texture. For normal to dry skin types.
Price: $42.00
Availability: You can purchase this foundation on NARS website or in Nordstrom stores for the complete line.
Seymone says: My new fave foundation. I love this foundation. The coverage and finish is so beautiful. All that NARS claims this foundation does is true. Your skin is definitely more luminous and hydrated. What I love the most is that it does not need to be set with powder. I have combination skin and I live in California. I used this foundation on a rather warm day and it did not budge. It did get slightly oily but it still looked great. This foundation looks like your skin but better.
To my ladies with hyperpigmentation, this foundation has excellent coverage. However, you still may need a little concealer. This foundation can go from sheer to full coverage and yet still manages not to look cakey. What's not to love about that!
Tips:
*I wouldn't suggest using a matte primer with this foundation because I find it makes the foundation look flat.
*My application method consist of using a foundation brush, like the MAC 190 to apply foundation. Then using a brush like the MAC 109 to buff the foundation into the skin.
Have you tried this foundation, what are your thoughts?

5 Minute Smokey Eye

Holla Chica's... Well today it is a two fold post, a FOTD and a review. This is a better version of my 5 minute smokey eye.
The other half recently purchased this Stila gift set for me.http://www.stilacosmetics.com/product_detail.asp?PMID=574&category_id=81&pos=1&viewall==I have to say, I am pretty impressed with the color payoff and intensity. Finally, finally I got the Stila Kajal Pencil to behave. I had to set it with alot of powder but my god do I love the intensity of this eyeliner. This eyeshadow is really pretty, it like a purplish grayish black color.. LOL. Did you guys just follow that? Anyway it is a beautiful and unique color. With this gift set you get alot for your money, an eyeliner brush, eyeshadow, kajal eyeliner, and mascara all for $25 bucks. I say go out and purchase this. On to FOTD..
